mission + core values
MISSION
-
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age (Matthew 28:18-20 ESV).
Core Values
-
We strive to glorify God in all we say and do - to worship Him in every area of life.
We desire to exalt the glory of God through authentic, Christ-centered corporate worship that engages the head and the heart.
-
We unashamedly preach, teach, sing, and glory in the Word of God.
It is our conviction that the Bible must be central in all that we do and teach.
The Word is our final and ultimate governing authority in faith and practice, duty and doctrine; therefore, we are committed to expository preaching.
-
We believe that commitment to the body is intimately linked with commitment to the Head of the body, namely, Jesus Christ (i.e., If you love Christ, you must love the church).
We desire each member to be trained and equipped to use their spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ.
We work to cultivate deep, growing, authentic, and abiding relationships within the church through the practice of Christian fellowship (one-on-one discipleship, small groups, Sunday School, etc.).
We endeavor to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of our church family.
-
We are committed to taking the gospel across the street and to the ends of the earth.
We devote time, money, and energy to the worldwide cause of Christian missions.
We are committed to exposing our people to the lives and ministries of those who give themselves to the work of missions at home and overseas, and informing them of the great need to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
-
We recognize that without God’s empowerment we are unable to live for his glory.
We endeavor to keep prayer central in our life and ministry as a church.
We believe in taking Scripture-driven, faith-filled risks out of express dependence on the Spirit of Christ.
